UFC 52 Wiki
Following up on the massive success of the live Ultimate Fighter Finale on Spike TV, UFC 52 featured the legendary rematch between Ultimate Fighter Season 1 coaches Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell. In addition to drawing the most lucrative live gate in the company's history up to that point, UFC 52 did over 280,000 Pay Per View buys, making it the most watched event since the very early days of the UFC.
UFC 52 featured one of the most impressive come-from-behind victories in UFC history when Matt Hughes choked out Frank Trigg in the first round in a true bad blood rematch. It also marked Liddell's win of the Light Heavyweight Championship, a title he would go on to defend four times before losing it in 2007.
