Pride 25 Wiki
In addition to featuring the highest profile win to date of Anderson Silva’s career, in which he knocked out Carlos Newton with a knee in the first round, Pride 25 featured Quinton Jackson’s TKO win over Kevin Randleman. Following his victory, Jackson called out Middleweight Champion Wanderlei Silva, who entered the ring, shoved Jackson, and challenged him to a fight, marking the beginning of a long and heated rivalry.
In the main event, Fedor Emelianenko convincingly upset defending Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira by handing him a Unanimous Decision loss. It marked another rung in the ladder of Emelianenko’s storied ascendancy to MMA greatness.
