Anderson and Watts kicked off the first amateur bout of the evening.


Both fighters came out exchanging hard leather before Watts secured a takedown against the cage. Anderson got back to his feet and worked a thai clinch. Watts landed a crisp right hand to Anderson's chin as the final seconds of the opening rounded ticked by.


Watts closed the distance and got a takedown into side control to start the second. Anderson got back to his feet but took several shots for his effort. Watts pushed Anderson against the cage, eventually completing another takedown. Watts landed an illegal knee to a downed Anderson as Anderson struggled back to his feet, causing Goddard to halt the action and take a point from Watts. Watts landed a pair of hard overhand rights as the action resumed, dropping Anderson and swarming as the final seconds wound down.


Anderson came out looking to push the pace in the third, but Watts gave better than he got in the striking exchanges. Watts secured another takedown, but Anderson popped back to his feet quickly. Watts landed a hard right hook and Anderson tried to call a stop to the action to replace his mouthpiece, prompting Goddard to take a point from him for delaying the action. The fighters continued to exchange strikes as the round came to a close.


The judges scored the bout 29-26, 29-26, and 29-27 for Charlie Watts.
