Dagestanis and chechens have nothing to do with the turks.
In general, there is no such nationality as a Dagestanis - 30 different nations live in Dagestan, and for example Khabib and Islam Makhachev from different nations.
Khabib's nation is the most numerous and gave the most fighters - they are called Avars.
Nation of Islam - Laks
Chechens and Ingush are one people calling themselves Vainakhs, it makes no sense to separate them

This can be explained for a very long time and it is very difficult for you

 @stuthehistoryguy Those mountain peoples are not Slavic, they are different races altogether.... And Armenians, Ossetians, Kalmyks, Chechens and the many Dagestan tribes, Azeri's, Georgians and others are even a lot different from each other, they look different and have different lineages and cultures. And there are mountain Albanians but their land is in Azerbaijan

He is right they are mostly not Turkic, apart from the Azeri's and Balkars, and actual mountain dwelling Turkish people
