Paulo Costa vs Luke Rockhold
Both fighters are on two fight losing streaks,  making this matchup very important for their futures.  Paolo is fighting his last fight on his UFC contract and Rockhold hasn't fought since 2019.
Round 1
Round 1 starts off with Costa rushing to gain control of the center of the ring.  After a few leg kicks Luke rushes in and gets clipped by Costa,  Luke goes for a take down and Costa stuffs it brilliantly while throwing two hard punches and hitting Luke's nose.  Costa lands a number of punches from the clinch and they disengage. Costa pressuring Rockhold and landing more combinations,  Luke lands a hard kick to Costa's midsection,  Costa counters and appears to catch Luke again with a good hook.  Costa shoots for a takedown and easily takes Rockhold down,  lands in half guard.  The fighters are up against the cage,  Paulo looking to land shots from the top, Luke is controlling posture but Paulo lands some heavy body shots.  Luke in trying to regain his feet gives Costa full mount,  Paulo loses his balance and almost gets swept.  Rockhold tries for a guillotine but Costa easily pops his head out and regains half guard position.  Luke has Costa's right leg locked down, Paulo lands nine very hard body shots and forces Luke to make a mistake,  Paulo gets back into mount.  Once again Paulo is bucked off and Luke gets to his feet,  the fighters square off in the middle of the octagon. Paulo throws a jab tono evail,  Luke throws a question mark kick which makes Paulo backup.  Rockhold follows Costa and unloads four hard body kicks,  Costa calling for more after the first two.  Luke is breathing heavily out of his mouth,  as his nose is full of blood.  Costa presses Luke against the cage after a big right hand just missing,  Costa gets another hard body shot off in the clinch.  Luke tries a whizzer kick trip but is seemingly to tired to take Costa down,  the fighters again go to the center of the cage and square off.  Luke throws another big kick to Costa's body,  Costa presses forward trying a kick of his own but Luke counters nicely with a good combo.  Costa continues pressing forward,  Luke hits Paulo with a big right hand.  Both fighters engage just before the horn with Luke landing another right counter.  At the horn Luke puts his hands on his knees,  he is exhausted. 
Round 2
Luke rushes the center this time,  lands a big left hand and pressures Costa.  He lands another hard left and rips a body kick,  goes for a takedown and Pauko almost gave his back to get up to his feet.  The fighters square off after a clinch,  Rockhold visibly bothered by his constantly bleeding nose.  Costa pressuring Luke with his back to the cage,  he lands a body shot and a hard fast left hand that hurts Luke again. Costa is all over Luke against the cage,  they exchange punches with Costa winning the exchanges.  Costa lands a powerful kick to the body,  Luke swings tiredly and misses.  Costa again hits him with a hard body shot,  Luke looks so tired but after a fake hits Costa with a spinning back kick.  Costa throws a low kick to the body and Luke jumps forward with a 360 roundhouse kick hitting hard under Costa's left arm,  Luke again counters with a hard straight left and appears to stun Costa.  Luke is tired and can't capitalize on it.  The fighters exchange head kicks,  Costa's was more powerful,  another exchange and Luke hits him with another hard right hand.  Luke gets costa with an eye poke,  he immediately puts his hands on his knees in exhaustion.  Costa not wanting to give Luke a break,  calls for the fight to continue.  Paulo pressures luke, they exchange kicks,  Paulo hits Luke with a low blow,  he immediately goes down Costa lands three hard punches as the ref stops the fight.  Costa thinks he has won the fight but the ref called time and the replay confirmed it was a low blow.  Now Costa looks just as tired as Rockhold and sits down in a neutral corner of the cage. Luke sees Costa tired and only after one minute resumes the fight.  Referee Mike Beltran gives warnings before the restart of the fight "Bring it in,  Hey,  keep it clean.  Fingers,  low blows,  I'm not having that shit.  Let's go fight"  The action resumes,  after a few awkward exchanges Costa lands a few hard kicks and heavy body shots to end the round.    
Round 3 
Luke is still exhausted but Paulo seems just as tired from the Salt Lake city elevation and lack of oxygen.  They trade punches,  Luke connects and thinks he has Paulo hurt.  Paulo trips after a right hand from Rockhold,  Luke rushes to get on top of him,  takes mount and is bucked off easily.  Rockhold gets hit in that broken and bleeding nose once again and reacts in pain,  as Costa was stepping forward Luke hits him with a big left hand square to the face,  he just misses  with the next one. Paulo is piecing Luke up while backing up and talking to him,  Luke says "Fuck you" and then bam he hits Costa with seemingly he hardest punch of the fight.  Luke doesn't have anything left in the tank to pursue Costa as he stumbles back.  Rockhold hits him with a few more shots after backing up to try to get a break,  Luke goes for a double leg but Paulo sprawls across the whole length of the octagon.  After stuffing the takedown Paulo easily gets on top of Luke on the ground,  Luke is tired.  Costa works for mount and gets it,  luke rolls and Costa gets his back.  Costa softens Luke up with some punches,  somehow Luke sweeps Costa and gets on top.  With only twenty seconds left in the fight the crowd is loud and going nuts. Luke throws a big punch,  Costa smartly controls Luke's posture.  Luke knowing he isn't going to win but being such a dogr he rubs his nose full of blood all over Costa's face for the last fifteen seconds,  painting him red with his own blood.  The horn sounds to end the fight and Costa gets up covered in Luke's blood
