Schaub and Rothwell met in the featured heavyweight bout of the main card.
Rothwell landed a good shot to the body then went upstairs with an overhand right before the two clinched up. Schaub rocked Rothwell with a spinning elbow and attacked, but Rothwell dropped Schaub and knocked him out cold with a barrage of aggressive counters to notch the comeback.
The end came 1:10 into the opening round.
Speaking to Joe Rogan following the fight, Rothwell said, "I feel great. You can take a look at me and it speaks for itself. I trained very hard. The fans of the UFC have made me who I am. I will never forget that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
