Galesic and Shlemenko entered the cage for the second tournament bout on the main card.
Galesic came forward with a straight right but Shlemenko wound up on top on the ground in an ensuing scramble. Shlemenko stood over Galesic and rained down a few straight punches as Galesic kicked up at him. Galesic stood and landed a nice straight right hand before Shlemenko clinched him and pushed him into the cage. Shlemenko landed a nice knee to the body then grabbed a hold of a tight guillotine choke on the feet and force the tap.
The official end came 1:55 into the first round, giving Shlemenko the submission victory.
