The fight was stopped after an accidental clash of heads in round 2 and Pahomenko was declared the winner via a "Technical Decision". The result was later changed to a TKO (Doctor Stoppage) and on the next day it was further clarified as a "No Contest" with Chong being allowed to advance further in the tournament due to Pahomenko (originally slated to advance to quarter finals) not being medically cleared due to injury.
