Blanco vs. Kunioku Wiki Update Wiki

The eighth bout of Sengoku 15 had Maximo "Maxi" Blanco facing off against late replacement Kiuma Kunioku who filled in for the injured Leonardo Santos.

Blanco started the fight by charging at Kunioku, but ended up partially falling out the ropes and producing a restart on the feet. Blanco came forward with his unconventional striking attack, landing with a front kick before Kunioku looked for a takedown. The ensuing scramble had Kunioku briefly get around to Blanco's back while standing. The two separated and Kunioku looked content to stand and trade, but Blanco seemed to be landing more effectively. Kunioku looked for a takedown that "Maxi" successfully sprawled out of and then a moment later struck with a devastating uppercut. Kunioku fell to his knees, ate a pair of hammerfists from Blanco, and then tried to rise back to his feet only to be met with an even more vicious uppercut. Kunioku fell to his back in a daze as Blanco jumped on top and landed several hard shots that left Kunioku unconscious.

The impressive finish came at 4:26 of the first round for Maximo Blanco.
