Micklewright vs. Poirier Wiki Update Wiki

The fourth bout at WEC 52 matched up Dustin Poirier, who had been undefeated regionally before picking up a loss to Danny Castillo in his sole WEC fight, against Zach Micklewright who was 1-1 in the WEC.

Poirier came out for the opening bell throwing a relentless striking attack that immediately had Micklewright backed up against the fence and in trouble. Micklewright attempted to block and fire back yet was getting hammered by Poirier and was soon unable to defend himself. Referee Kim Winslow had finally seen enough and called a stop to the fight as Micklewright fell to the ground.

The impressive TKO victory for Dustin Poirier came after just 53 seconds of action.
