Parisyan vs. Hallman Wiki Update Wiki

The fourth bout of UFC 123 saw Karo Parisyan return to the UFC to take on fellow veteran Dennis Hallman. Parisyan was 8-3 plus a no-contest in UFC competition, while Hallman was 2-4 in scattered UFC fights that spanned nearly a decade. Parisyan had been banished from the UFC exactly one year earlier after withdrawing from a fight due to anxiety issues, with UFC president Dana White vowing he would never return. After picking up a win in the Impact FC organization in Australia, however, Parisyan was given another chance.

Parisyan came in with an uppercut early, and then used his next punch to setup the clinch, pushing Hallman against the fence. Hallman looked for a standing guillotine that Pariysan quickly avoided, still up against the fence. Dan Miragliotta broke the two fighters up after some inacvitity, and on the following exchange Hallman landed an overhand right that dropped Parisyan. Hallman dove in with hammerfists, delivering a handful before the referee jumped in to save Parisyan from more punishment. Replays showed the stoppage from Miragliotta to be somewhat quick but probably fair, with Parisyan still dazed as he tried to stand back to his feet.

Commenting to Joe Rogan in the post-fight interview, Hallman stated, "The big thing going into the fight was working my standup... when you train hard you get lucky... I guess I move forward from here, right?"
