Monson vs. Kharitonov Wiki Update Wiki

"The Snowman" Jeff Monson won the battle of striker versus grappler at Dream 8 when we brought acclaimed Russian kickboxer Sergei Kharitonov to the mat in the first minute and choked him out with a straight head choke at the 1:42 mark. Kharitonov, on his back with Monson calmly working the choke, tried to pepper away at Monson's head with short fist strikes in an effort to release the hold, but to no avail. Monson refused to release and Kharitonov was forced to tap without an opportunity to showcase the standup skills that made him a star in Pride.
