I read a lot of comments under the link. While there is never a reason to choke a woman, especially in front of your kids (what does that communicate to them?) I am that there are times when women are willing to risk abuse if they can get witnesses to it for all kinds of leverage. Do I think that happens most of the time a woman is hit or hurt? No. But I do know it happens because I have seen it on multiple occasions and heard the wives brag about it; its a sick world with no innocents. (And I mean that as I wrote it, I did not mean 'innocence').
We don't EVEN know half of the story, we've just read some things and looked at a picture. I am no fan of abuse of any kind, but I am just as much not a fan of slander and defamation of character. It is easy to judge someone when you are not in their situation, or even knowledgable of the events that shaped their lives. Really though, who are we to judge ANYONE? We are all humans capable of evil; attacking Frank Trigg over this does in no way absolve us of any of the evils we are guilty of committing.
For those that may have missed my point let me clarify: domestic abuse is a serious crime for a reason and should not be tolerated under any circumstances. Due to ignorance on this matter it may be best to reserve judgement...indefinitely, mainly because we are not judges.
