I'll be pulling for BJ for sure, but I cannot pick him.  It really angers me that he doesn't go back to Lightweight.  It's a good test for Rory, I don't think he finishes Penn but I do think he takes a well-spoken decision over him.

I will be rooting for BJ as well but I really don't see him winning this fight

BJ Penn is a legend, but coming back against one of the newest top competitors is very bold and I think it might be too bold.

WAAAAR BJ!!!!
This fight is so 50/50.  Either Rory adds his first big name to his record or BJ uses his experience to overwhelm the younger fighter.  I have so much respect for BJ, although I'm kinda frustrated that he didn't fight Koscheck, I'll be pulling for him all the way.

I don't think that BJ Penn matches up well against Rory MacDonald at all...  I would much rather have seen BJ return to fight at LW.  He;s going to be too small for the bigger, stronger fighter.

BJ Penn explains his reasons for accepting the fight

From MMAfighting:
"Penn said he's grown a "big belly" since going on hiatus, now weighting about 185. He said he'd like to lose about 20 pounds before heading into an intensive camp. On the bright side though, Penn noted that the time off has his body feeling revitalized, saying he feels 22."

Man I Just hope he gets in shape soon, and have one hell of a camp.

"The 33-year-old Penn wouldn't speculate on his career past the MacDonald fight, saying that he could eventually move back down to lightweight, but believed this to be the last fight on his current UFC contract, making the future hinge on the result."

Oh man I hope he wins.  I have a feeling a loss will put him into retirement permanently.

BJ has "gained a big belly" and weighs 185? For a guy who already has a questionable work ethic doesn't sound good. Rory is looking for a springboard he should have chosen Koscheck not Penn.

I hate this fight. Bj is going to get beat up by a bigger younger faster fighter. I love bj and think he should get back with marv and stay at light weight.

I'm rooting for Penn, but Rory will likely dominate him.
