Quinn Mulhern is an American lightweight fighter currently signed to the UFC. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jui Jitsu and trains out of Jackson's MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has a Liberal Arts degree in Western Literature and the History of Philosophy from St. John's College. He has previously fought for King of the Cage where he held the welterweight title as well as for Strikeforce. He has notable wins over Ricky Legere, Chris Brennan, Rich Clementi, and Yuri Villefort. Of his eighteen wins, fourteen have been finishes including eleven submissions. He has missed weight one time, coming in at 176.5 pounds for a welterweight bout.

Mulhern began training in Brazilian Jui Jitsu when he was a teenager. He made his professional MMA debut in 2007 with a first round submission. His second fight would be his debut with KOTC which ended with anther first round submission victory. He would win his next six fights in a row, primarily with KOTC, including submission wins over Ricky Legere and UFC veteran, Chris Brennan. Riding an 8-0 record, he would get a shot at the KOTC welterweight title in 2009 against UFC veteran, Mike Guymon. Mulhern would ultimately lose the battle at the end of the fourth round when he submitted to strikes.

Quinn would bounce back from his first career loss with a TKO win over Rich Clementi. After another TKO win, he was granted a shot at the vacant KOTC welterweight title against Koffi Adzitso who he would defeat by second round submission. He would win one non title bout in KOTC before defending his title for the first time against Levi Stout who he would defeat via first round submission. He would next take on KOTC Canada welterweight champion, Garett Davis, in a KOTC world welterweight title unification bout. Mulhern would become the unified world champion when he won the bout by five round decision. He would defend his title one more time before vacating it in order to sign with Strikeforce.

Mulhern would sign with Strikeforce in 2011 and made his debut at Strikeforce Challengers 16 against Jason High. He would lose for the first time in nearly two years when he was defeated by unanimous decision. He would bounce back with a third round submission win against Danny Davis at Strikeforce Challengers 19, but the fight had to be moved to a catchweight bout since Quinn weighed in at 176.5 pounds for the scheduled welterweight bout. He would pick up another decision win two months later, this time at Strikeforce Challengers 20 against David Hulett. His last fight with the promotion would be against Yuri Villefort at Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Cormier, where he was able to pick up a split decision victory.

When Strikeforce ceased operations in early 2013, Quinn would be moved over to the UFC. He made is promotional debut against Rick Story at UFC 158, but he would lose by TKO for the first time in his career. Quinn was forced out of two fights due to injury but he eventually dropped to lightweight for the first time in his career in his next fight which was against Katsunori Kikuno at UFC Fight Night 34.

Following a clear-cut decision loss to Kikuno in Singapore, Mulhern announced his retirement from active competition later that day on his official Facebook account, citing an inability to compete at the highest levels of the sport and a desire to move on to other ventures.
