A skilled amateur wrestler with boxing skills, Dwayne Cason competed as an alternate at UFC 15, winning his match with Houston Dorr via ground and pound TKO in under four minutes.  He then advanced to the UFC 15 heavyweight tournament final where he was beaten in under one minute by Mark Kerr.  Cason, the nephew of former boxing champions Michael and Leon Spinks, never competed in Mixed Martial Arts again.
