Cleiton "Foguete" Duarte was a competitor on the second season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.  He fought a close fight with the severely undersized Bruno Dias, earning a spot in the house with a split decision win.  Duarte's performance was noted by the coaches and he ended up as the last pick for Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira.  The opposing coach, Fabrício Werdum wasted no time in targeting Cleiton Duarte for the first fight, matching him up with his own third pick Tiago Alves.  While Alves scored a unanimous decision win, Duarte's showing eventually allowed him to attempt another shot at the tournament's quarterfinals when Daniel Oliveira re-entered the competition to fill in for the injured Yan Cabral.  "Foguete" was matched up against in the show's eighth episode, but Oliveira failed to make weight and Duarte was allowed to advance to the quarterfinals without winning an elimination bout.  Duarte's string of luck would end there however, as he was ultimately eliminated from the competition by his teammate Santiago Ponzinibbio in the quarterfinal round.
