Denis Lavrentyev Wiki

Lavrentyev has a background in Judo, with a lifetime of training and competing in the style. He earned a place on the Russian Olympic Judo squad 8 years in a row when he was a full-time Judoka. He is a former Champion of the under 23's European Judo Championship in 2010, a multiple time IJF Grand Slam and World Cup medalist and champion, and is a former Russian National Judo Champion. He decided to retire from Judo in 2016 and go fight pro MMA, initially travelling to the USA where he trained for 2 years at Jackson/Wink MMA prior to his debut. He holds a Judo-Inside  record of 68 - 36.
