UFC on Versus 1 Wiki Update Wiki

UFC Live was the first UFC event to be broadcast on Versus, which had previously only aired events from Zuffa, LLC sister promotion WEC. In a surprising move, the UFC decided to air a live event on the network, possibly in the hopes of gaining added viewers to the channel to assist the WEC in attracting more viewers to its free events.

In the main event, light heavyweight Jon Jones tore through Brandon Vera with a first-round TKO, while heavyweight striker Junior dos Santos knocked out Gabriel Gonzaga, also in the first round.
