Although many of the fights were entertaining, UFC 108 was perhaps the most injury-plagued fight card in UFC history, with the main event revised four times before settling on a light heavyweight bout between contenders Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva. The main card offered little in the way of name recognition for casual fans, who were surely bewildered by the repeated lineup changes. As a result, UFC 108 drew a disappointing 300,000 buys.
