Gota Yamashita Wiki

Yamashita is the current Welterweight King of Pancrase. He trains out of Dokonjonosuke Mishima's Cobra Kai Dojo. He holds notable wins over Yuki Kondo, Akihiro Murayama, and Kenta Takagi

Yamashita was the 2011 Shooto Middleweight (168 lbs) Rookie Tournament runner up, losing to Yuki Okano in the finals. He was also the runner up in Pancrase's 2013 Welterweight Neo Blood Tournament, losing to Kazz in the finals.

After the Neo Blood Tournament Yamashita would win 2 straight fights and earn a shot at the recently vacated Welterweight King of Pancrase title. He would defeat Akihiro Murayama to become the 7th generation Welterweight King of Pancrase. He would then defend the title against MMA legend and pioneer Yuki Kondo, winning by unanimous decision.
